77: Representation Matters! Learning Resources to Celebrate Black History All Year Long
Black History isn’t just something we teach during February. As Black homeschool families, we have the freedom to incorporate our culture year-round!
So I’ve curated a list of amazing learning resources that are designed to inspire, empower, and celebrate Black history and culture. Because if you’re anything like me, you’re always looking for ways to incorporate more positive representation into your child’s education!

1. Heritage Packs

8. Oh Freedom!

1. Raising Confident Black Kids: A Comprehensive Guide for Empowering Parents and Teachers of Black Children by M.J. Fievre.
This book has both a printed version and an audiobook version, so you can listen to it on the go!
2. Black AF History: The Un-Whitewashed Story of America by Michael Harriot
Get ready for a more accurate version of American history. Combining unapologetically provocative storytelling with meticulous research based on primary sources as well as the work of pioneering Black historians, scholars, and journalists, Harriot removes the white sugarcoating from the American story, placing Black people squarely at the center.
