Hi, I’m Elan: a proud Spelman College alumna, a wife and a working homeschool mom of 2. But before homeschooling became our way of life, I looked into every type of school imaginable for my girls. I simply couldn’t find a traditional learning environment that truly met their needs.
I tried small private schools, specialty charter schools, and I researched all the public schools near me that boasted the best test scores.
But I finally realized that if I wanted the personalized learning for my kids that would affirm them and allow them to dive deeper into their natural interests and passions, then I would have to take control of their education and completely reimagine what school could look like for my family.
I had to start somewhere though. So I implemented a simple, five-step framework that allowed me to create the learning environment that would allow my kids to step into their full potential, all while balancing my roles as a working homeschool mom.
And I’m sharing that framework with you!
